Aircraft Services Planner

As an Aircraft Service Planner, here is what you’ll be doing at the core, day to day.
Responsible for understanding the scope of work provided by the client and creating the program work packages. Plan tactical schedules and establish work paths to create the legal binding document. Monitors work in progress to identify possible schedule impact and plan accordingly for upcoming maintenance events.
- Research and administration of maintenance programs
- Determine tactical scope, activities and critical paths for maintenance tasks
- Assemble aircraft work packages around a critical path in an efficient manner including identification of technical documentation prior to scheduled induction
- Define flow charts and timeline by identifying the time, resources and materials required for aircraft maintenance tasks
- Maintain and assist in development of aircraft model specific technical information, for example airframe, engine, avionics, and paint / interior
- Monitor maintenance progress and ensure that it is carried out according to the plan
- Perform analytical reviews of historical data and prepare detailed reports
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure all maintenance activities are compliant and meet expectations
- Adress and resolve discrepancies during the planning and execution phases
- Monitor visits in work for adjustments to delivery schedule and communicate impact as necessary to appropriate
- stakeholders.
- Frequently communicating with various external customers
- Support the continuous improvement of maintenance planning processes
- Input data into all systems as required
- Additional duties as assigned
Here’s what is required to succeed as an Aircraft Service Planner.
- 3-5 years of experience in project management, planning environment in a heavy industrial or manufacturing industry Or Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical related field
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is an asset
- Strong understanding or ability to learn aircraft systems and maintenance processes
- Demonstrated ability to understand project layers, mapping and flow of a project within a multiple project setting with rapidly changing priorities
- Familiar with aviation regulations and safety standards
- Effective problem-solving abilities to address discrepancies during planning and execution
- Strong analytical skills to research, review and accommodate scheduling requirements
- Strong coordination and communication skills to convey maintenance plans and schedules
- Ability to collaborate with various professionals (customers, co-workers, management and contractors)
- Intermediate knowledge of MS office (specifically excel), databases and maintenance planning software
